During the summer and fall of 2022, I embarked on a journey to expose more people (and myself) to music by queer artists. I crowdsourced answers from all members of my community and have come up with a comprehensive list that I am continuing to add to. The requirement? That at least one member of the band be queer or that the artist be queer. I did not define the word queer.

Why C0L0R0UT? 
There’s a form of poetry called black out poetry so I decided to queer it. Literally! I created a series of zines using 3-6 songs by queer artists and instead of blacking out the text, I used various pride flags. 

The playlist has ruined my 2022 Spotify Wrapped in the best way possible. I got to explore so many different genres and hear so many different stories. Some of these artists you’ve probably heard of, but I guarantee you haven’t heard all of them!
